Pingvo
Uptime and status pages
Planned

Know first. Tell everyone clearly.

Uptime monitoring from several locations and public status pages your users can subscribe to.

Pingvo is not released yet. The animation below is a concept to show the idea, not real software, and the details may change before it ships.

What we are planning

The plan for Pingvo

Monitors

HTTP, TCP, ping and keyword checks, with response times kept so you can see trends.

Probes in several places

Checks run from more than one location, including a probe at home, so one bad network does not page you.

Status pages

Calm public pages that show what is up, what is not and what you are doing about it. Run as many pages as you need.

Custom domains

Put each status page on its own domain, like status.example.com, with HTTPS.

Incidents and maintenance

Post updates as you work, and schedule maintenance windows ahead of time.

Subscribers

People can subscribe to a status page and hear about incidents without asking you.

Alerts

Email and webhooks when something breaks, and again when it recovers.

Who it is for

Anyone running something other people depend on: a family server, a game community, a small business site or a hosting company. Pingvo tells you first when something breaks, and gives everyone else one clear place to check.

How it fits

  • Routvo

Status pages on your own domain get their route and certificate from Routvo.

  • Servio

Hosting companies can give their customers a status page for every node and service.

  • Labvo

Uptime appears next to each service on your Labvo dashboard.

  • Stavo

Watch your Stavo server from outside your home, so you know when the family cannot reach it.

Your NullDaily account

Pingvo keeps its own accounts on your server. Linking a NullDaily account is optional. It gives you:

  • Licenses, updates and downloads in one place.
  • Sign in with NullDaily as an option, next to your server's own accounts.
  • You approve what Pingvo can see, and can remove it any time.

Questions

Is Pingvo available?

Not yet. It is planned. The animation on this page is a concept, not real software.

What will it cost?

Pingvo will be free.

How do checks from several locations work?

Small probes run in more than one place, including one you can run at home. A check only fails when the probes agree.

Can I run more than one status page?

Yes. Each page has its own monitors, domain and subscribers.

Do I need a NullDaily account?

No. Pingvo will keep its own sign-in. Linking a NullDaily account is optional.
